Low Budget Cinema Programme – 2015
A training and development programme for developing deaf and disabled film talent designed to build an understanding of the creative, production, financing and marketing mechanics of low budget feature films.
The programme was held over two workshops held at BAFTA in March 2015 and Sheffield in May 2015. The programme provided tailored mentor support for participants to develop their low budget feature film projects and covered creative & script development, project development, pitching and packaging, the creative & production engineering of low budget cinema, financing strategies, using new media to build marketing and audiences and explored ideas of disability cinema.
It included case studies and masterclasses from 104 films alumni and high-level industry professionals. All the participants developed a low budget feature film project over the course of the programme supported by professional mentor support.
